Cranberry Nut Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. shortening
boiling water
grated rind and juice of 1 orange
1 egg, well beaten
1 c. chopped cranberries
1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Sift together first 5 ingredients.
Put into measuring cup shortening; fill to 3/4 cup with boiling water.
Add the orange rind and juice and egg.
Cool slightly; add the liquid to dry ingredients.
Mix as for muffins and add cranberries and nuts. Grease and flour Number 303 cans.
Fill 2/3 full.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 60 to 70 minutes.
