Snickerdoodle Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 2/3 c. flour
    2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    8 Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Mix shortening and sugar.
    Add eggs and vanilla to creamed mixture.
    Combine and add flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt.
    Form into balls the size of walnuts.
    Roll into sugar and cinnamon mixture.
    Bake until lightly brown, but little soft. They will puff up, then flatten with crinkled tops.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
