Ingredients

1 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. soda, sifted with 3 c. flour
1 c. white sugar
1 c. peanut butter
2 eggs
1/8 tsp. salt
Preparation

Thoroughly cream shortening, sugar and vanilla.
Add beaten eggs.
Stir in peanut butter, then dry ingredients.
Form into balls and place on cookie sheet (greased) and press with fork to make crisscross.
Bake 10 minutes in 375\u00b0 oven.
Makes 50 to 60 small cookies.
