English Muffin Bread - cooking recipe

about 3 c. flour
1 Tbsp. sugar
1 1/4 c. warm water (105~ to 115~)
cornmeal
1 pkg. dry yeast
3/4 tsp. salt
Preparation

Combine 1 cup flour, yeast, sugar and salt in a large mixing bowl; add water and beat on low speed of electric mixer 3 minutes. Stir in enough remaining flour to make a very soft dough.
Shape dough into a ball; place in a well-greased bowl, turning to grease top.
Cover and let rise in a warm place (85\u00b0), free from drafts, 1 hour or until doubled in bulk.
Punch dough down; shape into an 8 x 4-inch loaf.
Grease a 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan; sprinkle bottom and sides with cornmeal.
Place dough in pan; sprinkle with cornmeal.
Cover and let rise in a warm place (85\u00b0), free from drafts, 30 minutes or until doubled in bulk.
Bake at 400\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes.
Yield:
1 loaf.
