Holiday Mincemeat Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sifted flour
    4 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1 egg, beaten
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. milk
    3 Tbsp. melted shortening
    1 lb. moist mincemeat
    1 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation
    Sift flour, salt and baking powder together.
    Combine beaten egg, milk, brown sugar, melted shortening and mincemeat.
    Add flour mixture, stirring only until the flour is moistened.
    Bake in a greased loaf pan at 350\u00b0 for one hour.
    Let stand 24 hours before slicing.
    Makes one loaf.
