French Butter Cream Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. sifted 10x sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 egg
    2 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. cream of tartar
Preparation
    Cream butter and shortening.
    Add powdered sugar gradually. Continue to cream.
    Add salt, vanilla and egg.
    Beat thoroughly. Add flour, soda and cream of tartar.
    Mix well. Chill at least 10 minutes.
    Form into 1/2-inch balls and flatten with fork on sheet. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 13 minutes.
