Christmas Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. dates
    1 lb. pecans
    1/2 lb. candied pineapple
    1 c. flour
    1/2 lb. candied cherries
    pinch of salt
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
    1 c. sugar
    4 eggs (large)
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Beat egg yolks; mix sugar and baking powder together.
    Add to egg yolks.
    Add vanilla and fold in sifted flour.
    Add fruit and nuts; mix well.
    Beat egg whites and add to mixture.
    Stir together and bake in a tube pan for 2 hours at 250\u00b0 or bake in loaf pan until done (1 hour).
