Double Peanut Butter Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. Crisco shortening
    1/2 c. creamy peanut butter
    1/2 c. light corn syrup
    1 Tbsp. milk
Preparation
    Sift together dry ingredients.
    Cut in shortening and peanut butter until mixture resembles coarse meal.
    Blend in syrup and milk.
    Shape into a 2-inch roll.
    Chill.
    Slice 1/4-inch thick. Place half the slices on ungreased cookie sheet; spread each with 1/2 teaspoon peanut butter.
    Cover with remaining slices.
    Seal edges with fork.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 12 minutes.
    Cool slightly.
    Remove from sheets.
    Makes 2 dozen.
    Cookie dough can be made one day and baked the next.
