Date And Nut Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. dates, cut and stoned
1 c. boiling water
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. sugar
1 egg, beaten
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 pinch salt
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Put dates in mixing bowl and add boiling water in which baking soda has been dissolved.
When cool, add sugar, egg and then the flour, baking powder and salt.
Mix well with dates.
Add walnuts and vanilla.
Bake in greased medium loaf pan in 350\u00b0 oven for 1 hour.
Beat after 24 hours.
Delicious with cream cheese!
