Scalloped Bread With Onions - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 slices white bread
    3 c. milk
    5 Tbsp. oleo
    1/2 c. chopped onions
    parsley or sage to taste
    salt and pepper to taste
    1/4 c. grated cheese
Preparation
    Saute onions.
    Add milk flavored with parsley or sage, salt and pepper.
    Pour into a greased casserole.
    Bake in a 425\u00b0 oven for 15 minutes.
    Take out of oven and take top crust that has formed. Break into small pieces.
    Add grated cheese and 1 tablespoon melted oleomargarine.
    Sprinkle over top.
    Return to oven.
    Bake until golden brown, about 5 minutes.
