Old-Fashioned Egg Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. self-rising corn meal
    2 c. buttermilk
    2 eggs
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 Tbsp. Crisco oil
Preparation
Put oil into a 10-inch well-seasoned skillet and preheat at 400\u00b0 until very hot.
Mix all other ingredients together and when oil is hot, pour about half into mixture and stir.
Then pour batter into the pan with the hot oil; do not stir now.
This will make a nice crust and should keep bread from sticking.
Bake 35 minutes at 400\u00b0 or until top is brown.
Take from oven and turn onto a plate immediately.
    Serve while hot.
Recipe can be cut in half except for oil and using same 10-inch skillet.
Will make a nice, thin, crusty bread.
