Ingredients

1/2 c. butter or margarine
1 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
4 eggs, beaten
2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
2 c. broken pecans
1/2 lb. candied pineapple, chopped
1/2 lb. candied cherries, chopped
1/4 lb. candied orange peel, chopped
1/4 lb. candied lemon peel, chopped
1 tsp. soda
3/4 tsp. ground cardamom (optional)
1/2 c. all-purpose flour
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar.
Add beaten eggs and mix well.
Add 2 1/2 cups flour and mix.
Combine chopped nuts and fruit.
Add soda and cardamom to the 1/2 cup flour.
Add this dry mixture to nuts and fruits and stir to coat.
Add to creamed mixture; mix well. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 275\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
Yield:
6 dozen.
