Ingredients

3 blocks butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 eggs
2 1/4 c. flour, sifted once
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 box Rice Krispies
nuts (optional)
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar.
Add eggs, then flour and baking powder that has been sifted together.
Add vanilla.
Add nuts.
If batter is too soft, leave in refrigerator for awhile to make firm.
Form into balls, then flatten.
Press dough lightly onto spread-out Rice Krispies.
Bake for about 15 minutes or until nice and brown about 1 inch apart.
Dough will spread.
Bake at 325\u00b0 to 350\u00b0.
