Dot'S Brown Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. raisins
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 to 1/2 stick margarine
    2 c. boiling water
    2 c. sugar
    4 c. flour (all-purpose)
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 c. nuts
Preparation
    Mix first 4 ingredients together and let stand overnight.
    Add rest of ingredients, blending well, and bake in 6 (1 pound) greased coffee cans for 1 hour at 350\u00b0.
    Cool in cans.
