Viennese Crescent Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. granulated sugar
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 c. butter (only)
    1 c. ground almonds
    1 tsp. vanilla
    confectioners sugar
Preparation
    Cream butter; add sugar and mix thoroughly together.
    Add flour, almonds and vanilla; mix thoroughly.
    Spoon out small pieces of dough and shape with fingers into small crescents about 2 inches long and 3/4 inch high.
    Arrange on buttered cookie sheet.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 9 to 10 minutes.
    While still warm, roll each cookie in confectioners sugar.
    Let cool, then roll again in confectioners sugar.
    Makes approximately 5 dozen.
