Ingredients

1 c. shortening
3/4 c. sugar
1 c. mashed cooked carrots
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar until fluffy.
Add carrots, egg and vanilla; mix well.
Sift together the dry ingredients; add to mixture.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto a cookie sheet.
Bake for about 20 minutes at 350\u00b0.
(Press down a little when dropped on cookie sheet.)
