Christmas Fruit Cake Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. light brown sugar
    3 c. self-rising flour
    2 sticks butter
    3 eggs
    1/2 c. milk
    1 Tbsp. cinnamon
    1/4 c. cooking sherry
    1/2 lb. raisins, chopped
    6 to 8 c. pecans, chopped
    2 1/2 c. dates, chopped
    2 c. candied cherries, chopped
    6 slices candied pineapple, chopped
Preparation
    Cream together butter and sugar.
    Sift dry ingredients together.
    Mix all chopped ingredients into dry mixture.
    Add eggs, sherry and milk to butter and sugar mixture.
    Using hands in large bowl, combine the fruit mixture with the liquid mixture. Drop cookies onto buttered cookie sheet with spoon and bake until golden brown, approximately 20 minutes at 275\u00b0.
    Makes 12 dozen or more.
