Ingredients

3 c. unsifted all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 tsp. ground cloves
1 tsp. ground ginger
1/4 tsp. ground cardamon
1/8 tsp. salt
1 c. butter
1 egg
1/2 c. ground almonds
1 1/4 c. light brown sugar
Preparation

In a large bowl of mixer on high, beat butter with brown sugar and egg until mixture is light and fluffy.
Sift flour with spices and salt.
Stir in half the flour mix with almonds.
Mix with hands, if necessary.
Use the other half of the flour to roll dough out to form shapes.
Bake 10 minutes in a 350\u00b0 oven and cool.
Can be decorated if you like.
