Banana Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    2 c. flour (all-purpose)
    3 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 1/2 c. banana, mashed
    3/4 c. nuts, chopped (pecans or walnuts)
    3 eggs
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. butter, softened
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Blend butter and sugar. Beat in eggs one at a time. Stir in mashed bananas. Sift together flour, baking powder, salt and baking soda. Blend into creamed mixture. Stir in nuts. Turn into greased and wax paper-lined 9 x 5 x 3 loaf pan. Bake at 300\u00b0 for 1 hour. Increase temperature to 350\u00b0 and bake 15 to 20 minutes more or until inserted knife comes out clean.
