Ingredients

1 3/4 c. flour
6 Tbsp. cocoa
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar, packed
1 egg, well beaten
dash of salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. nuts
Preparation

Sift flour; add soda and salt and sift together.
Cream shortening, add sugar gradually.
Cream all together until light and fluffy.
Add egg and beat.
Add cocoa and flour alternately with milk.
Add vanilla and nuts.
Drop by teaspoonful on greased pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 7 minutes.
Frost with chocolate icing and top with a pecan half.
