1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 sticks butter
1 c. light brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 large egg
1 c. finely chopped walnuts
1 1/4 c. whole wheat pastry flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. powdered ginger
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
6 Tbsp. butter, softened
1 egg
2 Tbsp. molasses
1 Tbsp. vanilla extract
1/2 c. date sugar
1/4 c. currants
1 c. butter or margarine, softened
1/2 c. sugar
1 large egg
1 Tbsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
2 c. flour
pink or red colored sugar
Preparation

Heat oven to 325\u00b0.
In medium size bowl, with electric beater, beat butter, sugar, egg, vanilla and salt until fluffy. Beat in flour.
Refrigerate dough, tightly wrapped, at least 1 hour.
