Greeting Card Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 1/2 c. softened butter or margarine
2 c. packed brown sugar
1 egg
4 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1/4 tsp. baking soda
decorator icing

Preparation

Cream butter and sugar; add egg.
Beat until light and fluffy. Stir flour with spices and soda.
Add to creamy mixture.
Mix well.
Cover; chill until firm, about 2 hours.
