40 saltine crackers
2 sticks butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 (12 oz.) bag chocolate chips
Preparation

Grease or butter a large cookie sheet or jelly roll pan. Cover with crackers.
Melt butter.
Add brown sugar.
Bring to a boil and stir until butter and sugar are mixed well.
Pour over crackers.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for exactly 5 minutes.
Pour chocolate chips over crackers.
As they start to melt, spread them with a knife.
Top with chopped pecans or walnuts (optional).
Cut in squares.
It takes them a few hours to harden completely.
