Molasses Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    1 c. brown sugar, packed
    1 well beaten egg
    1/4 c. sour milk or buttermilk
    1 c. molasses
    4 c. flour
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. ginger
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0. Cream the butter and brown sugar. Stir in the egg, sour milk and molasses. Sift the dry ingredients and beat in a small amount at a time. Spoon heaped tablespoons of dough onto a greased cookie sheet and flatten with the bottom of a glass covered with a dampened cloth, dipped in granulated sugar. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes.
