Ingredients

3 pkg. dry yeast
1/2 c. warm water
4 Tbsp. sugar
3/4 c. milk
1/2 c. margarine
1 tsp. salt
4 eggs, beaten
3 c. flour
2 c. raisins
Preparation

Combine yeast, warm water and sugar; set aside.
Scald milk and let cool.
Add margarine and salt to milk, then add yeast mixture. Soak raisins in hot water to soften, drain thoroughly and coat with flour to keep the raisins from falling out of dough while deep frying.
Add eggs, flour and raisins in that order.
Dough will be soft.
Let rise until double; deep fry in oil at 375\u00b0.
Dip in glaze when done and still hot from frying.
