1 c. butter or margarine
1 c. Crisco
2 c. sugar
3 eggs
1/4 c. milk
7 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. baking powder
1 (1 lb.) box currants
Preparation

Cream butter and Crisco.
Add sugar and mix.
Beat eggs and milk together; add to creamed mixture.
Mix dry ingredients together and add to creamed mixture.
Stir in currants.
Mixture will be like pie crust.
