M&M'S Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. shortening
1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
2 1/4 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. plain M&M's
1/2 c. sugar

Preparation

Mix shortening, brown sugar and regular sugar.
Blend in vanilla and eggs.
Sift flour, baking soda and salt.
Add dry ingredients to sugar and egg mixture.
Blend well.
Stir in 1/2 cup of M&M's.
Drop rounded teaspoonfuls of cookie dough 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
Decorate tops with remaining M&M's.
Bake on center rack at 375\u00b0 for 10 minutes or until golden brown.
Remove to wire racks.
Cool completely.
