Chocolate Chip Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 3/4 c. boiling water
    1 c. uncooked oatmeal
    1 c. lightly packed brown sugar
    1 c. granulated sugar
    1/2 c. margarine
    2 large eggs
    1 3/4 c. unsifted flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking soda
    2 Tbsp. cocoa
    1 large pkg. chocolate chips
    3/4 c. chopped walnuts (optional)
Preparation
    Pour boiling water over oatmeal in large mixing bowl.
    Let stand at room temperature 10 minutes.
    Add both sugars and margarine.
    Add eggs and beat.
    Add flour, baking soda, salt and cocoa.
    Mix.
    Add half the chocolate chips and blend in.
    Pour batter into greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Sprinkle remaining chocolate chips and walnuts over top.
    Bake 35 to 40 minutes at 350\u00b0.
