Portuguese Sweet Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 1/2 c. unbleached flour
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. warm water
1/4 c. margarine
1/2 tsp. salt
2 eggs (at room temperature)
1 pkg. active dry yeast
Preparation

In a large bowl, thoroughly mix flour, sugar and salt.
In a separate dish, dissolve yeast in the warm water; add sugar and let stand for 10 minutes.
In a separate bowl, stir together melted margarine and milk.
Beat eggs and add to milk mixture; mix well. Add yeast mixture to this and mix well.
Make a hole in the middle of the flour mixture and pour the liquids into the flour.
Mix well.
(You may have to add more flour to make dough softer, but the dough has to be elastic-like so it will not be sticky.)
Let rise.
When dough has risen, make a loaf and let rise again until the loaf doubles in size (approximately 1 hour).
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
