Chess Pie Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (18.5 oz.) box yellow cake mix (I prefer extra moist or pudding mixture)
    1 stick margarine, melted
    1 egg
    1 c. chopped pecans
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
    3 eggs
    1 (1 lb.) box powdered sugar
    1 c. chopped pecans (optional)
Preparation
    Mix first 4 ingredients and pour into a 9 x 13-inch pan and press down.
    Beat next 3 ingredients, blending well.
    Pour over cake mixture.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 to 50 minutes.
    Cut in squares. (Sprinkle top with additional nuts, if desired, before cooking.)
