Crackling Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. cracklings, diced
1 1/2 c. corn meal
3/4 c. wheat flour
1/2 tsp. soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. sour milk
Preparation

Cracklings are the pieces of meat remaining after the lard has been rendered from the pork.
Mix and sift together the dry ingredients.
Add the milk.
Stir in the cracklings.
Form into oblong cakes and place in greased baking pan.
Bake at 400\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
