Lemon Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 Tbsp. shortening (margarine)
2 eggs
1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. baking powder
grated rind of 1 lemon
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. nuts
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation

Cream sugar and shortening.
Add eggs and beat well.
Add milk, dry ingredients, nuts and lemon rind.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour.
Cool slightly, then pour the following over the loaf: 1/2 cup sugar and juice of lemon, mixed well.
