Christmas Tree Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 c. butter, softened
1 c. sugar
1 beaten egg
1 tsp. grated orange rind
1 3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
2 Tbsp. orange juice (optional)
red and green sugar

Preparation

Cream soft butter and sugar.
Add beaten egg and orange rind. Beat well.
Add flour, sifted with salt and baking powder.
You can add orange juice.
Beat until smooth.
Chill until firm.
Roll thin and cut.
Sprinkle with red and green sugar.
Bake at 300\u00b0 for 5 minutes.
