Irish Soda Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 box raisins (2 c. or less)
1 c. sugar
4 c. flour
1 big tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. salt
2 c. buttermilk or sour milk (to make sour milk, add 1 Tbsp. vinegar to milk)
Preparation

Put raisins in hot water for awhile and then drain, if raisins are not soft.
Sift together sugar and flour.
You may substitute all white flour with 2 cups white and 2 cups whole wheat or 2 cups white flour, 1 cup whole wheat, 1/2 cup soy and 1/2 cup wheat germ.
Sift baking soda and salt with flour and sugar.
Add buttermilk or sour milk.
Mix all ingredients well and then fold in raisins.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour (maybe 10 to 15 minutes more).
