Sour Cream Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. granulated sugar
    1 c. shortening (do not use oil)
    2 well beaten eggs
    1 tsp. soda
    4 1/2 c. flour
    1 c. thick sour cream (sour sweet if necessary by adding 1 tsp. vinegar to 1 c. milk or cream)
    1/2 tsp. vanilla or lemon flavoring
Preparation
    Roll out, cut and bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until faintly brown at 350\u00b0.
    Frost them if you like with favorite frosting.
