Mildred Swifts Sour Cream Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1 stick butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    2 2/3 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. sour cream, drain off excess water
Preparation
    Cream together sugar, butter, vanilla and egg real good, because when mixing in flour and dry ingredients and sour cream, you mix as little as possible.
    Blend in other ingredients, beginning and ending with flour mixture, alternating with sour cream.
    Roll on floured board.
    (Handle as little as possible.) Cook on greased cookie sheet 6 to 8 minutes on 425\u00b0.
    May sprinkle with sugar before baking.
    Be careful.
    Do not overbake.
