Ingredients

1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. lemon extract
1 egg
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 egg white (unbeaten)
1/4 c. chopped almonds or pecans
Preparation

Cream the butter; add sugar.
Mix and blend well.
Add lemon extract and egg; mix well.
Sift flour, baking powder, salt and nutmeg.
Mix with the sugar-butter mixture.
Form into two rolls, 1 1/2-inches in diameter.
Chill overnight.
