Christmas Tree Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 pkg. dry granular yeast
    2 c. warm water
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 tsp. salt
    6 c. sifted flour
    1 egg
    1/4 to 1/3 c. soft shortening
Preparation
    Divide dough into 2 parts (one for each tree).
    Divide each part into 17 pieces.
    Form into small balls.
    Arrange on slightly greased baking sheet in a 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 pattern and add 2 balls rolled together for the trunk.
    Let rise until double, 20 to 30 minutes.
