Ingredients

6 eggs
approximately 3 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. margarine
4 tsp. baking powder
2 Tbsp. vanilla or anise
Preparation

Beat eggs, adding sugar gradually.
Beat until smooth.
Add cooled melted margarine and vanilla.
Sift flour and baking powder and eggs.
Dough will be sticky enough to be dropped by spoon. Place a heaping teaspoon of batter in the center of each grid pattern on the bottom grid to make full size pizzelles.
Close grids; squeeze handles together to spread batter and clip handles together during baking.
Bake until golden brown.
Baking time is approximately 1/2 minute.
Remove pizzelles from grid with a spatula.
