Mother'S Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 to 1 1/2 c. flour
    2/3 c. sugar
    2/3 c. shortening
    1 egg (if egg is small, add 1 tsp. milk)
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
Preparation
    Mix flour, sugar and shortening.
    Beat egg with milk.
    Combine with dry ingredients; mix well.
    Add vanilla.
    Drop 2 tablespoons size on cookie sheet.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
