Banana Nut Bread With Butter Icing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter or shortening
    2 eggs
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 to 3/4 c. nuts
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    1 1/2 c. sifted flour (self-rising)
    3 ripe bananas, crushed
Preparation
    Cream butter, sugar and eggs together in mixer or by hand for 2 minutes.
    Add sifted flour and mix well.
    Stir in crushed bananas and nuts.
    Pour in a well-greased and floured pan and bake in moderate oven 40 to 50 minutes.
