Ingredients

1 stick butter
1 c. sugar
4 eggs
3 Tbsp. milk
2 1/2 c. self-rising flour (save 1/2 c. flour for fruit)
1 tsp. ground cloves
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
2 tsp. soda
1/2 lb. candied cherries
1/2 lb. candied pineapple
6 c. chopped nuts
2 1/2 c. white raisins
1/4 c. brandy or apple juice
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar; add eggs, one at a time, beating after each egg and add flour slowly.
Flour fruit and nuts with remaining 1/2 cup of flour.
Combine all ingredients.
Drop by teaspoonful on greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 250\u00b0 to 300\u00b0 for about 35 minutes.
