Ingredients

1 lb. butter
1/4 Tbsp. baking soda
1/2 c. orange juice
1 c. sugar
5 1/2 c. flour
1 oz. brandy
1 egg, beaten
Preparation

Cream butter until light and creamy.
Add sugar and beat well in separate bowl.
Combine soda and orange juice; be careful, mixture may overflow.
Add to creamed mixture.
Pour in brandy and beat well.
Gradually add flour; mix in thoroughly.
Shape as desired into braided twist or wreath.
Brush lightly with beaten egg.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 to 15 minutes.
Makes 12 dozen.
