1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
1 c. shortening
2 eggs, beaten
2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
2 c. dry oatmeal
2 c. crushed corn flakes
1 c. coconut
1 c. chopped nutmeats
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Cream the sugars, shortening and eggs.
Sift flour with next 3 ingredients. Add to creamed ingredients, mixing well. Fold in oatmeal, corn flakes, nuts and vanilla.
Drop by tablespoon onto greased cookie sheet. Bake 8 minutes at 425\u00b0.
Makes 4 dozen large cookies.
