Ingredients

2 egg whites
2/3 c. sugar
pinch of salt
1 c. chopped nuts
1 c. semi-sweet chocolate bits
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0 when starting to mix cookies.
Whip egg whites, sugar and salt until very stiff.
Whip at least 10 minutes with an electric mixer.
Do not overbeat.
Add nuts, semi-sweet chocolate bits and vanilla.
Cover 2 cookie sheets with foil.
Do not grease.
Drop cookie mixture by teaspoonful on foil.
Put into oven.
Turn oven off at once!
Bake 12 hours.
Overnight is best. Do not open oven door until time is up.
