Cranberry Nut Bread - cooking recipe

2 c. chopped cranberries
1 c. chopped nuts
2 eggs, well beaten
2 Tbsp. grated orange rind
4 c. flour
2 c. sugar
3 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
4 Tbsp. shortening
1 1/2 c. orange juice
Preparation

Place cranberries, nuts and orange rind in a bowl and set aside.
In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
Cut in shortening.
Stir in orange juice, eggs and orange rind.
Mix just to moisten.
Fold in cranberries, nuts and orange rind mixture.
Spoon into well-greased and floured pans. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
