French Cream Peanut Butter Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter
    1/2 c. solid shortening (Crisco)
    1/2 c. peanut butter
    1 1/2 c. confectioners sugar, sifted and measured
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 egg, beaten
    2 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cream of tartar
Preparation
    Cream butter, shortening and peanut butter.
    Add vanilla and egg until creamy.
    Combine flour, baking soda, salt and cream of tartar; add creamed mixture, blending well.
    Chill slightly for easier handling.
    Roll in 1-inch balls.
    Place on cookie sheet. Flatten with fork.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 12 minutes.
