Welsh Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    3/4 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. cream of tartar
    2 tsp. baking powder
    3 eggs
    1/2 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. shortening
    1 c. raisins or currants
Preparation
    Cream sugar and shortening; add well beaten eggs.
    Add as many raisins or currants as you wish (1 cup).
    Alternate dry ingredients with the milk and vanilla.
    Roll, cut out and bake on griddle.
