2 1/4 c. unsifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. margarine or butter, softened
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 c. chopped nuts
2 eggs
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
In small bowl, sift or stir together flour, baking soda and salt; set aside.
In large mixer bowl, beat margarine, shortening and sugars until creamy.
Beat in eggs and vanilla.
Add flour mixture; mix well.
Stir in chocolate morsels and nuts.
Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls, 2 inches apart, onto ungreased baking sheets.
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until lightly browned.
