Ingredients

2 Cup flour
1/2 Cup cocoa
2 Tbsp. baking powder
1/2 Cup shortening
1/2 Cup crunchy peanut butter
1 1/4 Cup sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/3 cup milk
Preparation

Sift together dry ingredients.
Cream shortening and peanut butter adding sugar gradually.
Add the eggs and vanilla beat well.
Blend in the dry ingredients alternately with the milk, blending well after each addition. Drop by rounded tsp. onto ungreased baking sheets.
Press with fork to flatten and form a lattice design. (Put fork in water lightly before pressing so it does not stick
to the cookies.) Bake at 400 for 8 to 9 minutes. Do not overbake.
Cookies are still soft when done.
